# Schema

> Schema is building an API for the World: every website, callable by agents, fast and accurate. The end game is to be the Cloudflare for the new world of agents. Schema has three products: Schema for Mac (for people), the Schema API (for developers and agents), and Schema for Sites (for businesses).

Tagline: Turn the World into a function.

## Vision

- Machines shouldn't have to pretend to be people. Today's agents look at pages designed for human eyes and click buttons sized for human fingers. Machine-to-machine interaction should work fundamentally differently from human-to-machine interaction.
- Humans click; machines call. Humans read pages; machines read types. Humans wait for things to load; machines get a response.
- Now: Schema for Mac and the Schema API turn today's websites into functions that people and agents can call.
- Next: Schema for Sites. Zero config, like Cloudflare, so any site becomes a native API for every agent.
- Eventually: an API for the World. Every booking, purchase, form, and lookup on the internet is a fast, accurate function with a signature.

## Schema for Mac (for people)

- A command bar for the Mac. Type or speak a request in plain English.
- Schema turns the request into function calls (for example `flights.search(...)`, `flights.hold(...)`), runs them, and returns the result as Markdown: tables, checklists, quotes, and lists.
- Example tasks: finding and booking flights, comparing products, booking restaurant tables, getting DMV appointments, reading return policies, paying bills, and checking domain renewals.
- Anything that spends money or can't be undone waits for the user to confirm.
- Vault: users connect passwords, 2FA codes, emails, usernames, or any other secret. Secrets are encrypted and stored on device, retrieved only when the model calls for one by name, and passed straight into the function call, so the model never sees the value.
- Access: waitlist.

## Schema API (for developers and agents)

- Call any website like an API.
- Every site gets a machine interface: a description of what it does, how to use it, and the functions that can be called, with typed arguments and typed returns. For example, Google Flights exposes functions like `search_flights`, `get_fare_details`, and `track_price`.
- Integrates with existing agents: the functions are handed to an agent as tools, and it gets validated, typed responses instead of scraped pages. One integration covers the whole web.
- Access: waitlist.

## Schema for Sites (for businesses)

- The Cloudflare for the world of agents: a zero-config layer that sits in front of an existing website and turns it into an API every agent can call.
- The site owner chooses what is exposed. No rebuild, and the human-facing site stays unchanged.
- Benefits: more traffic, higher conversion, better effectiveness, and wider reach, since every agent and assistant becomes a channel to customers. A win for users, agents, and businesses.
